Single…Double…..

Weddings are the biggest industries in this world. Here in my country, this occasion will be held mostly in November and December because of the school holidays.   This is when most of that money gets spent! We call it wedding months and not wasting money months 😉

At a traditional American wedding, the father of the bride walks his daughter down the aisle and gives her away. Then the bride and groom exchange rings and vows. It would be extra special if they have personalized promise ring on the special day.  Finally, after the ceremony, everyone goes to a reception, where they eat, drink, dance, and let their hair down. This is totally different with Malay Wedding.

In Malaysia, once you reach a certain age, around 26 or 27, out of sudden everyone you know starts getting married. Or if not, you’ll have to answer the same questions from the old people around you. These are the TOP 3 questions those still-not-married people have to endure:-

  • When are you going to get married?
  • Are you seeing someone special?
  • Mek Jemah already married with 3 kids. When will you?

Say something to me :)
